Our Team

We are looking for a highly experienced and motivated Tax Manager to join our Finance team in Germany, based in our Head Office in Cologne. As a Tax Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the company's tax compliance and contributing to the success of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and HGB, including the calculation of tax provisions.
  • Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns, as well as prepare and submit corporate tax, trade tax, and VAT returns. Prepare and submit source tax returns and support external advisors in preparing and submitting applications for tax relief and reimbursement.
  • Review incoming tax assessments, handle appeals and other correspondence with the tax authorities, including requesting certificates.
  • Manage external, payroll, and VAT audits.
  • Prepare local files (BEPS) with preliminary work and documentation.
  • Coordinate and accompany cross-border tax matters with tax managers in Belgium, the Netherlands, and France.
  • Prepare monthly cash flow statements related to corporate and trade tax payments.
  • Be the point of contact for auditors, external tax advisors, and the tax authorities on tax matters.
  • Participate in various projects, particularly those related to contract reviews (tax clauses) in the field of real estate project development. Participate in mergers.
  • Maintain VAT keys for technical systems.
  • Monitor and implement changes to tax laws.
  • Be the point of contact for the group on all other tax matters affecting Germany and provide support to the accounting and credit/debit departments on tax-related matters.
