The University of Siegen, a leading institution in interdisciplinary research, is seeking a highly motivated researcher to join its faculty IV, School of Science and Technology, Center for Sensor Systems, chair of Computational Sensorics.

About the Position
  • We are looking for a researcher with expertise in AI-supported computational microscopy to collaborate on a BMBF-funded project 'Track-Opt'.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct research collaboration in the project, focusing on system modeling and optimization using mathematical methods and physical models.
  2. Engage in self-motivated research in the field of AI-supported computational microscopy to further scientific qualification, potentially leading to a doctorate.
  3. Pursue publication of research results in relevant international journals, highlighting advancements in the field.
Requirements
  1. A very good Master's degree or equivalent in computer science, mathematics, physics, or electrical engineering.
  2. Excellent knowledge in one of the areas: mathematical modeling and optimization, machine learning, optics (microscopy, calibration, characterization), and at least basic knowledge in other areas.
  3. Independent research interest and professional competence in computational imaging.
  4. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with very good communication skills.
  5. Excellent command of written and spoken English.
