We're on a mission to transform our business and unleash our employees' potential. As a Payroll Specialist, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of payroll delivery at Maersk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage payroll processes for Germany and Austria, ensuring seamless vendor management.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers/authorities to drive process improvements.
  • Support audit processes, both internal and external, to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Communicate effectively with employees on payroll-related queries.
  • Analyze local legal, fiscal, and regulatory requirements to identify process localizations.
  • Drive end-to-end process reviews, uncovering gaps between current and planned models, and develop local action plans to implement solutions.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to enable effective user acceptance.
  • Support training and change management activities.
  • Contribute to data mapping, validation, and acceptance activities.
What We're Looking For
  • A data-savvy Payroll Specialist with a passion for project experience in an international environment.
  • Fluency in English and German is a must.
  • Hands-on experience in managing payroll and Time & Attendance processes within a complex international organization.
  • Knowledge of compliance and legal regulations for payroll & benefits.
  • Broad HR Operations experience, including exposure to an outsourced payroll model and knowledge of Workday.
  • Ability to engage and mobilize diverse local HR stakeholders.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to operate in a fast-paced, developing project environment.
  • Resilience is a key factor in this role.
  • A collaborative working style that fosters cooperation and teamwork.
  • A highly analytical mindset with a strong eye for detail.
  • A structured working style and focus on delivering results as per agreed timescales and scope.
