Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Bachelor/Master student for a thesis project focused on renewable energy forecasting. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to develop and validate prognostic models for wind and solar power generation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement prognostic models for wind and solar power generation using Python and relevant libraries
  • Analyze and process historical energy data from wind and solar farms
  • Integrate and process weather data from the German Weather Service (DWD)
  • Validate and refine prognostic models using real-world data
  • Develop and implement a user-friendly interface for presenting prognostic results
Requirements:
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in a technical or natural science field (e.g., electrical engineering, energy technology, computer science, physics)
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience with relevant libraries (e.g., pandas, pyserial)
  • Basic knowledge of data analysis and modeling
  • Interest in renewable energy and meteorological data
