Salary
The estimated salary for this role is approximately 80,000 - 120,000 EUR per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.

Job Description
As a Strategic Digital Transformation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the effective mobilization of stakeholders around Global Gateway priorities in Nigeria. Your primary objectives include:

• Structured engagement with stakeholders: Member States, development financial institutions, public and private sectors, focusing on digital economy, transport, and health, as well as cross-cutting themes like innovative financing, business climate, and governance.

• Strategic intelligence gathering: Utilize your expertise to gather insights that inform project decisions and enhance stakeholder engagement.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this position, you must have:

  • • A master's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field, such as Digital Economy, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Business Administration, Economics, or International Relations.

  • • Competence in project management and stakeholder engagement, with the ability to navigate diverse interests within the EU and Nigerian contexts.

  • • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence high-level stakeholders and mediate discussions across public-private divides.

  • • Fluency in English is required.

  • • At least 8 years of experience in the digital sector, with a strong track record in managing or advising on projects related to digital transformation, ICT infrastructure development, or digital policy implementation.

  • • Proven experience working within an international or multicultural setting, ideally with a focus on development projects in Africa or similar regions.

  • • Background in fostering collaborations between public institutions and private entities, with an emphasis on sustainable investment and digital economy initiatives.

  • • Proven skill in developing sector-specific strategic roadmaps that outline key projects, investment prospects, and follow-up actions to mobilize public and private sector resources.

  • • A background in supporting or facilitating partnerships between EU institutions and host country governments, with an understanding of policy alignment processes, trade agreements, and investment protocols in the digital sector.
