About the Role

Caspar Health is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our cloud infrastructure using AWS best practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). You will also be responsible for maintaining our PostgresSQL and Redis databases, as well as our CI infrastructure and development workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and improve our cloud infrastructure using AWS best practices and IaC.
  • Responsible for maintaining our PostgresSQL and Redis databases.
  • Take responsibility for maintaining and improving our existing CI infrastructure and enhancing our development workflows.
  • Support infrastructure requirements for development teams and also support with development tasks.
  • Help maintain the CI and deployment pipeline for our repositories.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in computer networking and Linux administration.
  • Proficient in shell scripting and one or more scripting languages such as Python, Ruby or Node.js.
  • Understand the principles of load balancing and high availability.
  • Understand security and data privacy best practices.
  • Strong working knowledge of Amazon Web Services and its best practices.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and have experience with Terraform and Terragrunt.
  • Worked with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
  • Experience with and a strong interest in application development and programming environments such as Ruby on Rails or Node.js.
  • Strong mentoring skills with the ability to transfer knowledge and document best practices for team clarity.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD environments and role-based access protocols.
  • Experience with monitoring tools and distributed tracing for different development platforms.
