Medical Director - DACH Region Opportunity

Morgan Prestwich - Life Science & Healthcare Executive Search is seeking a highly experienced Medical Director to lead the medical affairs strategy in the DACH region for our US headquartered Biotech client.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the local DACH medical affairs plan with a primary focus on Phase 3 and pre-launch activities.
  • Conduct field scientific interactions with healthcare professionals (HCPs) in the DACH region, ensuring compliance with local regulations and guidelines.
  • Support the Real World Evidence (RWE) Program in the DACH region, in alignment with global medical strategies.
  • Participate in German Early Scientific Advice meetings, collaborating with local teams to prepare materials and present the medical strategy.
  • Contribute to the DACH-specific Patient Access Strategy Plan, ensuring alignment between medical and patient access teams for the successful launch of the Immuno-Oncology treatment.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Doctor of Medicine (MD).
  • ~ D. in pharmaceutical science, healthcare management, or a related field are an advantage.
  • ~12+ years of experience in medical affairs, preferably in a biotech or pharmaceutical company.
  • ~ Knowledge of the healthcare systems within the DACH region, with experience in the German AMNOG reimbursement pathway being an advantage.
  • ~ Proven track record of working in rare disease, specialty medicine development, with hands-on experience in medical affairs strategy and delivery during late-stage development and launch.
