Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our Vision & AI competence center team located in Oranienburg near Berlin, Germany. As a Software Engineer at Marel, you will work closely with our innovation team to design and develop software for vision systems for the food industry.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the innovation team to design and develop software for vision systems for the food industry.
  • Participate in implementation and testing of software modules and software features.
  • Analyze requirements and write design specifications for software modules and software features.
  • Contribute to team collaboration and build team spirit.
  • Further standardize our library to improve efficiency and ease of maintenance.
  • Perform evaluations, testing and analyses remotely or at customer site
Requirements
  • Have a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar technical discipline.
  • Have experience with C++ (C# and Kotlin are also welcome).
  • Have experience with application development using Microsoft Windows and Visual Studio (MFC) as an asset.
  • Have experience in image processing and vision systems is a plus but not necessary.
  • Have strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Have the ability to prioritize and work effectively under pressure.
  • Have excellent communication skills in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Have fluency in English, spoken and written. Knowledge in German is a plus.
  • Be willing to travel 10-20%
