Cell Systems Engineer

We are seeking an exceptional Cell Systems Engineer to join our innovative team at Lilium, shaping the future of urban e-mobility. As a key member of our Cell Technology Team, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and certification of the Lilium Cell, collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with teams to define design, requirements, and functionality of battery cells
- Develop and validate component requirements, evaluate test results, and create validation and verification plans
- Define project scope with suppliers, create Statements of Work, and support qualification/certification tasks
- Perform trade studies, lead decision-making activities, and participate in international working groups and committees
- Develop necessary methods, tools, and processes, and work on ad-hoc tasks or projects related to Lilium's aerospace journey
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Engineering, Electrochemistry, Material Science, or related field
- Experience in Li-ion battery technology, systems engineering, requirements management, and/or reliability engineering
- Experience with aerospace regulations and certification, cell safety and performance testing, and design of experiments
- Knowledge of cell and aerospace-related standards, materials, and cell design
- Target-oriented, driven workstyle with analytic problem-solving skills, proactive, and comfortable with complex situations
- Fluent English language skills, with German or other languages beneficial
