Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics and Supply Chain Manager to join our team at Hach. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the logistics process, from procurement to distribution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement logistics and supply chain strategies to improve operational efficiency and meet company objectives.
  • Oversee the entire supply chain process, including transportation and distribution.
  • Conduct regular audits of logistics processes to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
  • Collaborate with the IT department to identify and implement technology solutions to streamline logistics operations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in logistics to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Train, educate, and mentor junior logistics coordinators to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
  • Fluent in both German and English.
  • 8+ years in logistics operations, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of international logistics and supply chain concepts, including procurement, transportation, warehousing, 3PL, and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with international trade regulations, customs procedures, and import/export documentation.
  • Proficient in using logistics software and technology, such as TMS, WMS, or ERP systems.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external vendors, and clients.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.
  • Well-experienced with virtual working and flexibility to travel within the German-speaking area of Europe and occasionally to Canada.
