ABOUT THE TEAM
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- This is a senior role in our accounting organisation and a unique opportunity to be a key contributor and shape a small team into a best-in-class organisation.
- You will be responsible for shaping our accounting policies (HGB, IFRS, RechKredV) across all business areas and ensure their rigorous documentation and adoption.
- Be the face of Accounting when working closely with stakeholders across the company to define applicable accounting standards and logics support new product development.
- Spearhead continuous development of our accounting standards, incl. local GAAPs, IFRS conversion, leading several topics with a high degree of independence.
- Drive conversations with internal and external auditors and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including our year-end group audit.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- At least 5 years professional experience in accounting, financial services, audit, or a comparable position in a top-tier accounting / advisory firm.
- Excellent technical accounting (HGB, IFRS) knowledge, including experience with group reporting / consolidation.
- Experience in the financial services / banking sector or a fintech startup with in-depth knowledge of relevant banking-specific topics and accounting complexities.
- Self-starter with the drive to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing, high-growth organisation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to convey complex accounting topics succinctly.
