Java Backend Developer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Backend Developer to join our team at Nordex Group. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing highly available Java Spring Boot microservices in the IoT environment of wind turbines.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop microservices using Java Spring Boot, ensuring high availability and scalability.
  • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to understand requirements and develop solutions.
  • Lead the further development of our internal product solution for wind turbine control and monitoring.
  • Integrate new devices into our IIoT software solution.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.

Your Profile:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Sound knowledge of software development with Java Spring Boot and microservice architectures.
  • Existing knowledge of service architectures, API design, integration patterns, and communication protocols.
  • Strong technical understanding and analytical skills.
  • Strong self-initiative and hands-on mentality.
  • High communication skills and the ability to discuss complex topics.
  • Distinct communication and teamwork skills, coupled with intercultural competence.
  • Experience in DevOps processes and technologies, as well as working in an industrial environment, is advantageous.
  • English language proficiency (very good written and spoken). Ideally, skills in Spanish and German.
  • A minimum of 4 years of work experience.
  • Availability to travel.
