Job Title: Product Manager Mainframe Modernization

Software AG is seeking an experienced Product Manager to drive the strategy and adoption of our COBOL Mainframe Modernization product in the market.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and customer-centric Product Manager to lead the product strategy and roadmap for our COBOL Mainframe Modernization product. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mainframe technologies, including COBOL, z/OS, and Java, as well as experience in product management, customer-facing roles, and technical sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the product strategy and roadmap for COBOL Mainframe Modernization, aligning with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, and marketing, to drive product development and go-to-market strategies.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their needs, provide technical guidance, and ensure successful adoption of the product.
  • Manage customer requirements, prioritize feature development, and ensure timely delivery of product enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to inform product strategy and roadmap.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mainframe technologies, including COBOL, z/OS, and Java.
  • Proven experience in product management, customer-facing roles, and technical sales.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure and solve complex tasks.
  • Ability to work in a highly agile environment and adapt to changing priorities.
