Data Architecture and Engineering Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architecture and Engineering Manager to lead our team in Berlin. As a key member of our organization, you will work closely with the VP Data and Analytics to deliver our data strategy roadmap.
Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain scalable pipelines for efficient data processing.
- Track and ensure high-quality data, guaranteeing availability and latency requirements.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the Architecture and Engineering function, designing and building scalable data models, establishing governance processes, managing data pipelines and quality, working with Analytics Engineers, managing our Google Cloud estate, and owning the data tool stack.
Requirements- Extensive experience delivering complex data architectures within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Deep knowledge of multiple approaches to data modeling, including relational and non-relational databases.
- A clear understanding of working with large, volatile, and heterogeneous datasets.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are valued.
- A solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Familiarity with key technologies: GCP, BigQuery, Looker, Airflow, dbt, Docker, SQL, Python, and Terraform.
- Experience in large-scale data processing with Apache Spark or similar technologies, and proficiency in Scala, Java, or Python.
