Job Description

The Karlsruher Institut für Technologie's Scientific Computing Center is seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team.

Research Focus

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing novel statistical methods that leverage the potential of Bayesian statistics and machine learning. This will involve investigating theoretical properties of the developed methods, implementing them, and contributing to joint research inside the group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement novel statistical methods for Bayesian statistics and machine learning
  • Investigate theoretical properties of the developed methods
  • Contribute to joint research inside the group
  • Publish results at leading journals, workshops, and conferences

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistics, mathematics, data science, or statistics-oriented computer science. They should have a track record of excellent publications in the field and strong computational and mathematical skills. Proficiency in English is also essential for scientific publications and presentations.
