Job Title: Project Surveyor

Humres - Construction Recruitment Specialists is seeking a skilled Project Surveyor to join our team. As a Project Surveyor, you will play a critical role in managing the financial aspects of projects related to lightweight structures, innovative facades, and architectural engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with project teams and engineers to prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for lightweight structures and facade projects.
  • Analyse project specifications, designs, and architectural drawings to identify materials, labour, equipment, and other cost factors.
  • Develop comprehensive project budgets and ensure alignment with client expectations and company goals.
  • Monitor project expenditures throughout the project lifecycle, identifying potential cost overruns and discrepancies.
  • Implement effective cost control measures to ensure that projects are completed within the approved budget.
  • Review change orders, variations, and additional work requests, assessing their impact on project costs and timelines.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to source and evaluate suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors for project materials and services.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges related to cost, procurement, and project execution.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and work with project teams to implement them.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project costs, expenditures, and financial documents.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with a focus on lightweight structures, facades, or architectural engineering projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with relevant software such as cost estimating tools and project management software.
