Join Our Team as a Senior Backend Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our team at LeanIX, a leading provider of enterprise architecture management solutions. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing scalable and secure backend services using Kotlin/Java.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement state-of-the-art search-related data structures and algorithms
  • Design and implement state-of-the-art GraphQL APIs
  • Take ownership of topics that you are passionate about and contribute to our product vision
  • Collaborate with Product Management and UI/UX teams as part of a customer-focused team
  • Share knowledge and make people around you grow through active mentorship, pair programming, code reviews, or knowledge-sharing sessions
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency with Kotlin (or Java with a willingness to learn Kotlin as part of the onboarding)
  • Experience with modern tools and practices for building Kotlin/Java backend services
  • Open communication style, strong spoken and written communication skills in English
  • Ability and willingness to work on-site in our Bonn office at least 20% of your time
