Global Cybersecurity Governance Lead

We are seeking an experienced Global Cybersecurity Governance Lead to join our team at HARMAN International.

About the Role:

In this critical position, you will provide strategic guidance and mentorship to your team members, fostering their growth and ensuring the successful execution of cybersecurity initiatives.

You will collaborate closely with senior leaders and stakeholders to align cybersecurity strategies with business objectives, while maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations such as ISO21434, ASPICE, and other cybersecurity regulations.

As a key member of our team, you will define and drive the global Cybersecurity Governance Strategy, focusing on improving maturity and driving business results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic planning and high-level decision-making within Governance
  • Providing direction for comprehensive cybersecurity process architectures and strategies
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define security requirements and integrate cybersecurity measures throughout the development lifecycle
  • Conducting thorough threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability analysis
  • Defining and implementing secure communication protocols, access control mechanisms, and encryption solutions
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in cybersecurity technologies and providing thought leadership
Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant technical discipline; advanced degrees are highly preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in Automotive Cybersecurity or a related field, or PhD with +5 years of experience in a related field
  • Solid understanding of Automotive Cybersecurity Engineering standards (ISO/SAE 21434:2021, VDA A-SPICE for cybersecurity, etc.)
  • Experience with Product Life Cycle activities from development to field and service
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity threat analysis and risk assessment methods
  • Excellent management and communication skills, collaborating with other leaders
