Software Test Automation Engineer

Your Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Test Automation Developer to join our team at ZEISS Group.

  • Design and implement automated test software for Embedded Systems, Linux, and Azure-Cloud environments.
  • Develop and maintain test frameworks and infrastructures to enable test automation for re-use in multiple target projects.
  • Ensure requirements and specifications are covered by automated test cases.
  • Execute automated tests, monitor test runs, and analyze results.
  • Keep automated tests up-to-date with software changes.
  • Develop, expand, and automate CI/CD pipelines on Azure DevOps.
  • Collaborate with a scrum team to identify and communicate issues with the development team.
Your Profile

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • A degree in computer science or similar experience.
  • Several years of experience in agile software development, preferably for Embedded systems and Linux.
  • In-depth knowledge of Azure DevOps or GitHub Enterprise.
  • Experience in programming, preferably in scripting languages such as Python.
  • Demonstrable experience in using test automation tools like Selenium, Appium, JUnit, or Robot Framework.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment processes and their integration into the test cycle.
  • An independent way of working and motivation to proactively find solutions to challenges in test automation.
  • Strong communication, cooperation, and teamwork skills.
  • Practical knowledge of English, both spoken and written. German is a plus.
