Database Engineer

**Job Overview**

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Engineer to join our team at Amadeus. As a key member of our data infrastructure team, you will be responsible for ensuring the operability, performance, integrity, and security of our MariaDB database platform.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects, including system development, troubleshooting, and planning. You will also collaborate closely with other teams to support and promote products, features, and releases.

**Responsibilities**

• Integration of database add-on product suites to ensure seamless operations
• Monitoring performance and managing parameters to provide fast and efficient database services
• Implementing access control mechanisms to safeguard database security and integrity
• Developing and maintaining database documentation, including platform specifications and procedures descriptions
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive project success and deliver high-quality results
• Troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues in a timely and effective manner

**Requirements**

• 2+ years of operational DBA experience under operational conditions
• Experience working as a MariaDB DBA, preferably on a Linux platform, is a plus
• Familiarity with automation tools and scripts to streamline database processes
• University degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Relevant operational experience with commercial RDBMS (i.e., Oracle, MySQL/MariaDB)
