Airbus Protect is a leading provider of cybersecurity, safety, and sustainability expertise to the aviation industry. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Safety Engineer - Aircraft Development to join our team in Hamburg, Germany.

About the Role

  • Support the establishment of safety analyses for aircraft systems, ensuring compliance with all phases during and after certification.
  • Develop and update assessments of intended design modifications to influence system architecture according to required System Safety/System Integrity standards.
  • Determine specific Safety requirements for system developments or modifications, considering hardware and software aspects.
  • Manage input from and output to interfacing technical domains and technology (processes, maintenance, human error, aircraft performance, and quality).
  • Review, approve, and apply supplier data regarding Safety and Reliability, generating System Safety Assessment documentation based on traceable results and evidence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent field.
  • Relevant work experience in System Safety Engineering, preferably in the aviation industry.
  • Familiarity with aircraft systems and first-hand experience with System Safety tasks.
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving skills, target-oriented mindset, and willingness to learn new things.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to perform multiple Systems Safety tasks concurrently, and teamwork capabilities.
  • Proficiency in English and German languages (B2 level) and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Salary Range: €60,000 - €80,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
