Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Integrity Engineer to join our team. As a Stress Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting stress analyses of structural parts using classical methods, Finite Element techniques, and hand calculations
  • Preparing and reviewing full stress analysis reports
  • Ensuring the aircraft structure meets certification requirements using state-of-the-art stress analysis methods
  • Executing trade-off studies to validate design solutions
  • Reviewing drawings and providing technical guidance to junior engineers
  • Supporting testing activities throughout the test pyramid and flight/ground test activities
  • Evaluating and challenging design concepts to deliver optimal structures for safety, manufacturability, maintainability, and inspectability

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A university degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical/Vehicle Engineering
  • A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a Stress Engineer role in a professional aerospace environment
  • Strong experience with stress analyses of composite materials
  • Knowledge of metal and composite manufacturing processes, testing, and production deviations
  • Familiarity with aerospace requirements and standards, such as CS-23, CS-27, and SC-VTOL
  • Proficiency in structural analysis tools, such as Patran/Nastran and Altair pack, and PLM systems, such as TeamCenter
  • Basic programming skills in VBA, Python, or similar
  • Excellent English language skills (German is not required)
