We are seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist to join our team at the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. As a key member of our research group, you will be responsible for developing and implementing methods for detecting secondary metabolites in plants using Raman spectroscopy.
Your primary focus will be on enhancing the accuracy of the system for tracking changes in secondary metabolites during plant cultivation. This will involve literature research, cultivation of optimal plant varieties, detection of plant parts using Raman spectroscopy, extraction of secondary metabolites from plants, and analysis of the Raman signal.
To be successful in this role, you will require a strong background in biology, agriculture, or environmental engineering, as well as experience in designing structured experiments. Proficiency in data analysis using R or Python is also essential. Additionally, you should have a basic knowledge of optics and an interest in indoor farming/vertical farming.
