About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Researcher to join our Institute of Software Technology in Sankt Augustin. The successful candidate will design and implement novel algorithms to assess the role of nodes in spreading processes on networks.

Job Description

">

This challenging project involves identifying vital nodes in complex temporal networks. Vital nodes have the most influence on the network, which is critical in various scenarios, such as the spread of viruses, misinformation, and radicalization. Our focus is on epidemic preparedness and controlling virus spread. However, the methods developed could be adapted to other fields as well.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have a Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field and strong interest in machine learning, complex networks, and potentially graph neural networks. You should also possess solid programming skills (e.g., Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
