Junior Print and Packaging Prototyping Specialist

Position
Imperial Brands Reemtsma, with its headquarters in Hamburg, is a large FMCG company in Germany. Our sales and marketing functions are active in eleven markets, and our factory in Langenhagen near Hanover is an important production site that not only supports the German market but also the Imperial Brands group worldwide. With a portfolio that includes internationally known brands such as Gauloises, West, Davidoff, and JPS, we also play a key role in the development of risk-reducing products such as myblu and skruf.
What are your tasks?
- Close collaboration with Discovery & Consumer Science within R&D to evaluate new technologies, develop concepts, and visualize them through rendering and prototyping.
- Continuous improvement of the process for developing and testing packaging ideas.
- Further strengthening of the network/relationships with suppliers to drive innovation forward together.
- Closely working with Portfolio, Category, and Markets to evaluate insights on competitors and markets.
- Participation in cross-functional idea generation sessions with specific goals based on category inputs. Including all ideas for consumables and devices, as well as continuous improvement of the processes for developing and testing packaging ideas.
- Supporting the further business, i.e. Marketing, Insights, and Portfolio teams, to understand trends and apply them to the development of the packaging innovation pipeline.
What are we looking for?
- University degree in a relevant field.
- 2 years of experience in the technical field.
- Rapid prototyping skills, creativity, networking.
- 3D rendering, 2D and 3D CAD.
- Lab experience (processes, tools, documentation).
