As a Sales Trader for Gas/Power, you will have the opportunity to shape new developments, work on solutions for a modern, sustainable, and future-oriented energy supply, and actively participate in change processes.

Your Responsibilities

  • Calculate and negotiate standardized and structured gas/power trading deals with German and international counterparties
  • Promote our bilateral OTC business
  • Analyze and optimize our sales and trading strategies, taking into account changing portfolio and market situations
  • Develop and improve our pricing methods and margin management
  • Support the development and expansion of our digital trading solutions
  • Participate in internal interfaces, accompany internal IT projects, and develop new products and market channels
  • Manage our business through digital market channels

Your Profile

  • University degree in economics, engineering, or mathematics, or several years of relevant work experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of European energy markets and practical experience in wholesale or trading, with sales trading experience being an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills and a good understanding of mathematics
  • Advanced IT skills, with experience in MS Excel, VBA programming, MS Access, or MS PowerBI being an advantage
  • Commercial thinking and a high degree of self-initiative, with high engagement and team spirit
  • Knowledge of Uniper's digital platform is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills in German (at least C1 level) and English (at least B2 level)
