Electron Microscopy at ER-C-3

The Ernst Ruska-Centre (ER-C) at Forschungszentrum Jülich is a world-leading electron microscopy center, boasting over 15 electron microscopes. Our Structural Biology department, ER-C-3, investigates the structural and molecular mechanisms of membrane biology, pushing the boundaries of cryo-EM-related methodology.

PhD Position - Method Development of Cryo-STEM Imaging

We are seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to join our team at ER-C-3. As a member of our department, you will contribute to the development of cryo-STEM imaging methods, advancing our understanding of membrane-associated protein complexes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research in cryo-STEM imaging method development
  • Collaborate with our team to advance existing imaging technologies
  • Contribute to the development of new cryo-EM-related methodology
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., physics, biology, chemistry)
  • Strong background in electron microscopy and cryo-EM
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
