We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled master's student to contribute to the development of innovative software tools for multidisciplinary design optimization. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project that involves the derivation and implementation of methods for handling integer-valued variables within a multidisciplinary design optimization framework.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research existing methods for solving mixed-integer optimization problems
  • Derive and implement methods for handling integer-valued variables within multidisciplinary design optimization
  • Evaluate numerical performance across several benchmark problems
  • Collaborate with our team of experts to develop innovative software tools
Requirements:
  • Ongoing master's degree in mathematics, engineering, computer science, or a related field
  • Strong theoretical knowledge in mathematical optimization and design synthesis
  • Practical experience in software development with Python
  • Very good English or German language skills
