The German Aerospace Center (DLR) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled researcher to join our team as a DLR-DAAD Doctoral Fellow. The successful candidate will work on the electrochemical analysis of molten salt storage systems, a crucial component in the development of sustainable energy technologies.
The research project focuses on the material and electrochemical aspects of molten nitrate storage systems in commercial concentrated solar power (CSP) plants. The candidate will be responsible for carrying out electrochemical experiments on molten salts, evaluating the results, and presenting them within the team, at international conferences, and in scientific publications.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in materials, chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field, and experience in electrochemistry, thermochemistry, and wet chemical analysis methods. Strong programming skills, particularly in MATLAB, are also essential.
