We are seeking a highly skilled Software Architect to join our team at the BMW Group. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the software architecture for our next-generation embedded software platform.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain the software architecture for our complex ECUs, ensuring seamless communication and deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including security and functional safety, to ensure a robust and reliable software architecture.
- Design and implement software architecture solutions for various integration aspects throughout the ECU development process.
- Enable the software architecture for new hardware generations, ensuring compatibility and scalability.
- Work independently and collaboratively to coordinate activities with team members and stakeholders.
- University degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on C++.
- Extensive experience in developing software architecture for embedded systems, preferably in the automotive industry with AUTOSAR or Adaptive AUTOSAR.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to describe and manage complex software architectures.
- Excellent knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Experience in developing and integrating software platforms for embedded devices is a plus.
- Familiarity with the automotive environment, including CAN, LIN, Ethernet, TCP/IP, SOME/IP, RTOS, microcontrollers/SoCs, and AUTOSAR, is beneficial.
- Knowledge of scripting languages, such as Python, is a plus.
