About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at WorkGenius. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our freelancing platform, which consists of several web applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, code, and optimize features to ensure performance and security standards are met.
  • Develop systems with real-time, event-driven, and asynchronous architecture.
  • Collaborate with the product team, designers, and other developers to create innovative and cohesive solutions.
  • Review and optimize code to ensure it meets performance, security, and scalability standards.
  • Handle troubleshooting, debugging, and updating existing software.
  • Document software functionalities and processes to ensure knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements

  • A relevant degree, e.g., a Bachelor's in (Business) Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Several years of practical experience in web development.
  • Proficiency in the entire software development lifecycle, including various (agile) development methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, deployments, testing, and operations.
  • Analytical thinking, creativity, and teamwork skills.
  • A strong sense of good UX/UI.
  • Language skills: Excellent command of English is required.
