About the Role

X4 Group is seeking a seasoned Cloud Solution Architect to join our team of experts in professional Cloud Computing services. As a key member of our Cloud enthusiasts' team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative Cloud infrastructures based on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and their seamless integration with on-premise infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and blueprint innovative Cloud infrastructures based on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and their seamless integration with on-premise infrastructure.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest market and technology trends, identifying best practices for enhancing our AWS competence and ability.
  • Advise clients and developing teams on the design of global network infrastructure at enterprise level or specific cloud-native applications.
  • Assess planned changes and alternative solutions regarding risks and opportunities, take technology decisions, and present these to clients.
  • Implement DevOps principles and design suitable solutions to optimally implement Microservices, Infrastructure-as-Code, Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment, Containerization (e.g., with Kubernetes).
  • Manage migrations from on-premise infrastructure into the Cloud and data migrations from/to AWS.
Requirements
  • Several years of experience as Cloud Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect, Cloud Platform Engineer, System Administrator, or similar in complex, heterogeneous network environments.
  • Deep technical knowledge regarding Public Cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Servers (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or similar.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) preferred, AWS certifications are a plus.
  • Solid know-how regarding conventional (on-premise) network infrastructure, including DNS, NAT, IPsec, firewall, VPN, etc., server (Windows/Linux), storage, backup, virtualization, containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), CI/CD, automation (i.e., Ansible), IT security.
  • Good knowledge administrating the most popular OS: Windows and Linux (especially Red Hat distros and similar).
  • Good knowledge of common scripting languages like Bash, Python, PowerShell, and programming languages (C, C++, Java, etc...).
  • Experience with server virtualization, containers, Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment, automation, and relevant tools.
Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Cloud technologies and design of Cloud infrastructures, hybrid environments, migrations.
  • Strong client orientation and consultancy mentality.
  • English language is mandatory; German and Italian languages would be a plus.
