We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our business development efforts in the European Defence market. As a Business Development Manager for LEAF, you will be responsible for driving growth and expanding our presence in this strategic region.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced sales professional to join our dynamic team and contribute to the success of Arc'teryx's LEAF business. You will work closely with our global teams to develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy, leveraging your expertise in government sales and defence markets.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and execute a short-term, medium-term, and long-term strategic sales plan to drive growth in the MIL-GOV-LE market in Europe
  • Manage the Salesforce pipeline for new leads and sales opportunities from pre-tender to closed stages to inform and validate our long-term sales plan
  • Drive brand presence and demand for Arc'teryx LEAF through focused end-user engagement and shaping contract sales early in the procurement process
  • Identify and lead on industry events, unit visits, and bespoke 'owned' events that create rich environments to showcase the Arc'teryx system of dress with focused end-users
  • Collate and share market intelligence with the broader LEAF team to help steer product lines around emerging and future requirements
  • Travel throughout Europe to foster and maintain strong end-user relationships and ensure our wholesale partners are set up for and realising success (up to 35% travel commitment)
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of related experience selling market-leading apparel or other technical solutions for the MIL-GOV-LE professional
  • Expertise in the Security and Defence apparel market
  • A clear grasp of complex government and industry structures, contracting, and trade regulations, and the ability to keep abreast of current, emerging, and future requirements
  • Experience leading regional sales and understanding the requirements for success
  • Experience in all planning and execution requirements for exhibiting at Defence and Security trade events
  • Strong communication skills in both written and verbal communication, with the ability to formulate and articulate strategies and concepts
  • Fluency in English and native proficiency in French, German, or Italian
  • A willingness to travel, work weekends, or holidays, depending on the needs of the business
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and comfort dealing with diverse personalities
  • Strong advisory skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at a national level
  • Excellent organisational skills, analytical ability, and a track record of strategic planning
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent decision-making skills and proactive identification of root causes and solutions
  • A high degree of flexibility and adaptability when faced with ambiguity
  • The ability to balance autonomy and collaboration effectively
