Position Overview

Are you interested in becoming a key member of DLA Piper's global Corporate Group? We are seeking a seasoned corporate attorney to enhance our International Corporate Knowledge team as a Knowledge Development Lawyer (m/f/d). This full-time role is based in our offices in Cologne, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt am Main, Hamburg, or Munich.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and sustain essential knowledge resources for the corporate practice, both domestically and internationally, to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to clients efficiently. This includes creating standard documents, automated resources, and technical legal/practical guidance.
  • Support existing comprehensive training initiatives across the corporate practice, which involves preparing and updating training materials, conducting training sessions, and assisting partners and lawyers in developing and delivering training.
  • Facilitate the sharing of expertise, market insights, and practical experiences among lawyers, while developing best practices.
  • Keep lawyers informed about legal and market developments, providing analyses of significant changes and their implications for the Corporate Group's operations and clients.
  • Collaborate with the Legal Service Delivery team to promote best practices in transactional processes and the use of relevant tools and technology.
  • Work alongside the Marketing and Business Development team to provide legal insights for client-facing initiatives and tools.

Candidate Profile

  • Experienced corporate lawyer with a strong background in M&A and preferably in corporate reorganizations or private equity.
  • Outstanding academic qualifications.
  • Proficient in German law.
  • Exceptional drafting, research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly organized with the capability to coordinate and execute projects effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a capacity to connect, influence, and collaborate in a multicultural environment across various jurisdictions.
  • Experience in developing knowledge resources and delivering training is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Current practice experience or prior knowledge development experience is a plus.
