X4 Technology is a leading aerospace company seeking an experienced Power Electronics Engineer for a 6-month freelancing opportunity.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge aerospace technologies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working on high-voltage projects related to flight guidance, navigation, and propulsion systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test high-power electronics systems for aerospace applications, with a focus on propulsion and flight control.
- Work on high-voltage power systems, particularly in the EV-tool (electric vehicle tools) and high-propulsion domains.
- Contribute to flight guidance and navigation systems, ensuring alignment with aerospace standards (such as DO-160).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and integrate power electronics into larger systems.
- Apply Greenfield development experience to create innovative, reliable, and efficient systems.
- Support the implementation of flight controls for new aircraft, contributing to the successful deployment of cutting-edge aerospace technologies.
- Manage risk and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and safety standards.
- Contribute to the evolution of the project through problem-solving and critical thinking.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in power electronics engineering, with significant exposure to high-voltage projects (propulsion systems, electric vehicle tools, etc.).
- Aerospace experience in power electronics, particularly with flight controls, guidance, and navigation systems.
- Hands-on experience with Greenfield projects and the design of high-voltage systems.
- Strong understanding of DO-160 standards and other relevant aerospace compliance requirements.
- Experience in EV tools, high-propulsion, and similar aerospace-related sectors.
- Demonstrable ability to work in an environment requiring strong technical expertise and collaboration.
- Proficiency in simulation and design tools for power electronics and flight control systems.
