Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Railway Traffic Controller to join our team at DB InfraGO AG in Karlsruhe.
Your Responsibilities:
- As a Railway Traffic Controller, you will be responsible for the safe and punctual execution of train and shunting operations at the Karlsruhe Hbf station, taking into account necessary inspections and precautions, such as track inspections.
- In the event of operational disruptions, you will conduct a hazard assessment, maintain communication with all parties involved, and ensure a safe train operation.
- You will work in accordance with valid regulations, including local specifications and company orders, and document these.
- You will be responsible for issuing, submitting, transmitting, and documenting operational reports, orders, instructions, and train schedule notifications.
- You will operate and monitor the assigned signaling and safety systems, as well as telecommunications systems.
Your Profile:
- You hold a completed vocational training as a Railway Traffic Controller (EiB F or lateral entry) and an active qualification as a Railway Traffic Controller with excellent knowledge of operational services.
- Your work style is characterized by independence, diligence, and problem-solving skills.
- You will be deployed in shift and alternating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- We expect you to be fully fit for operational service and psychologically suitable for the role of Railway Traffic Controller in Karlsruhe Hbf.
- You will also bring a valid Class B driving license and your own vehicle.
