Head of Commercial Operations and Analytics for Rare Diseases

The Head of Commercial Operations and Analytics for Rare Diseases will be responsible for driving customer excellence by leading the implementation of global commercial systems, processes, and support with various analytics and insights. This role will collaborate closely with local Commercial teams to support day-to-day operations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Customer Excellence: Drive customer Target & segmentation processes in close collaboration with local GMs and Sales Leads, providing daily support to local sales teams.
- Advanced Analytics: Responsible for attribution modeling to demonstrate cross-channel 'ecosystem' impact of digital on the physician audience.
- Insights at the Customer Level: Drives optimization of the ecosystem across levels such as segment, channel, and content.
- Leverage Veeva CRM: Support the field users in execution and ensure full capabilities are utilized.
- Digital Engagement Solutions: Support the integration of digital engagement solutions aiming to enhance the customer experience and the customer engagement model.
- Ways of Working Guidelines: Develop and ensure smooth implementation within Europe Region 1, collaborating with Europe Region 2 and aligning with US.
- In-Field Effectiveness: Identify opportunities for improvement and inform solutions to drive field impact.
Commercial Reporting & Analytics:
This role will own third-party syndicated national data sets, leverage anonymized patient data, and internal data (sales, volume, CRM) to prepare patient, outcomes, treatment, sales, managed markets, and promotion insights. These tailored insights will be used to produce consistent overviews of team, product, and portfolio performance, while understanding their applications and limitations.
Key Deliverables:
- Patient, Outcomes, Treatment, Sales, Managed Markets, and Promotion Insights: Prepare and deliver weekly/monthly/quarterly launch performance reports/dashboards capturing comprehensive monthly trends and insights to leadership teams.
- Operationalize KPIs and Metrics: Work collaboratively across product teams and other functional departments to operationalize KPIs and metrics through centralized data platforms.
- Support Local Analyses: Provide in-depth market understanding supporting local launch readiness.
Business Partnering & Collaboration:
This role requires a business partnering mindset, fostering deep insights in local markets and affiliates' daily operations. The ability to challenge local performance and insights is essential, along with implementing global commercial processes and systems.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree Required; Master's Degree or MBA Preferred
- 7+ Years of Sales Operations Experience in the Pharmaceutical or Biotech Industry
- Experience from Working in Rare Disease
- Extensive Experience Supporting Technical Design of Commercial Systems and Implementing Applications (CRM/Veeva)
- Advanced Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Power BI
Estimated Salary:
$120,000 - $180,000 per year, based on location and experience.
