We are currently looking for an IT Network Engineer to join our team in Bremen.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for the administration of the campus and data center LAN/Wifi, ensuring stable operation of the network environment, and maintaining and further developing the network infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science or IT training, with at least 3–5 years of professional experience in operating network infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administration of the campus and data center LAN/Wifi
- Stable operation of the network environment
- Maintenance and further development of the network infrastructure
- Coordination of service providers and lifecycle projects
- Consulting colleagues and departments
- 2nd and 3rd level support
- Documentation and maintenance of master data and network diagrams
Requirements:
- Completed studies in the field of computer science/business informatics or IT training
- At least 3–5 years of professional experience
- Experience in operating network infrastructures
- Setup and administration of switch environments and controller-driven Wi-Fi, preferably Cisco and Meraki (Advanced)
- Experience in operating a NAC solution, preferable Cisco ISE (Advanced)
- Knowledge of network security (Basic)
- Basic project management experience (Basic)
- Business economics knowledge (Basic)
- Able to provide and receive constructive feedback
- Able to work autonomously
- Analytical skills
- Good communication skills
- Independent, analytical and structured way of working
- Team player
- Willingness to travel to other locations (domestic and international < 25%)
- Fluent in English and German
- Ability to work in a hybrid model from one of our locations in Ettlingen or Bremen
