We are seeking a highly skilled Ground Segment L2 Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Telespazio DE. As a key member of our Galileo Service Team, you will be responsible for delivering services to our customer based in Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging workplace, collaborating with a talented and ambitious team to strengthen our Galileo Service Team.
Key Responsibilities- Support AIV campaigns for the Galileo Ground Control Segment, ensuring seamless integration and testing.
- Define and maintain test documentation, guaranteeing accuracy and completeness.
- Contribute to the preparation and execution of Non-Regression / System Validation Test Campaigns, ensuring system stability and reliability.
- Collaborate with OPS/L1 and L3 teams for problem management, system restoration, vulnerability management, and security incident handling.
- Provide inputs to Service Asset and Configuration Management activities, including configuration maintenance via provided tools.
- Support milestone reviews related to L2/L3 maintenance handover, ensuring smooth transitions.
- Design end-to-end integrated maintenance and troubleshooting environments for Galileo systems, enhancing system performance.
- Contribute to the release strategy for minor and major evolutions of the GCS infrastructure, ensuring timely and efficient updates.
- Engineering degree in Information Technology or Aerospace related stream (or relevant work experience).
- System administration in LINUX environments, preferably in an aerospace domain.
- OPS system monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting expertise.
- Understanding of virtualization and networking technologies.
- Experience in system integration and AIV campaigns.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- LINUX, Networking, and Programming skills.
- MS Office proficiency.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple activities.
- Excellent communication skills and team player attitude.
- Problem-solving aptitude and capability to follow standard procedures.
- Due to project requirements, only candidates with nationality of any Member State of the European Union or Norway need apply.
- Indicate availability to start in this position, with priority given to candidates who can start at a shorter notice period.
