About the Role:

We're seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. Our team focuses on creating and maintaining a robust, coherent infrastructure as code, as well as empowering other teams to deliver sustainable software by providing self-service infrastructure and streamlined tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and enhance our infrastructure using Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
  • Identify repetitive tasks and create efficient automation solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with various engineering teams to support their infrastructure needs.
  • Refine our deployment process, aiming for consistency and reliability.
  • Architect, develop, and maintain core infrastructure components to support Billie's growth.
  • Troubleshoot production issues across different services and stack levels.
  • Contribute to planning Billie's infrastructure expansion.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to address availability incidents and support service engineers with customer-facing issues.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience as an SRE, DevOps Engineer, or Platform Engineer.
  • Extensive experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) products and services.
  • Expertise with infrastructure automation using Terraform.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or ArgoCD.
  • Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and related container technologies.
  • Understanding of observability concepts and tools.
  • Hands-on experience in at least one scripting language, Java, Python, and/or Golang.
  • Experience with Open Source tools and a passion for automation and reproducibility.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
