As a Category Acquisition Manager, you'll be responsible for the procurement and management of defined categories for our European production and logistic sites. You'll work closely with our Procurement Manager Germany to coordinate the global strategy and demands, and develop strategic category plans to drive business outcomes. You'll also be responsible for selecting, certifying, and managing suppliers in accordance with our Corporate and Procurement guidelines.

We're looking for someone with significant experience in procurement, logistics, or a related field, with a strong understanding of accounting and business law principles. You should be able to develop business requirements, category analysis, and design, as well as administer vendor acquisition tools. Your analytical skills, teamwork, and facilitation skills will also be essential in working with other company departments to plan and execute strategic sourcing strategies.

As a Category Acquisition Manager, you'll have the opportunity to work on complex procurement initiatives, negotiate Total Cost of Ownership, and lead key stakeholders and team members through category-wide Request for Proposals (RFPs) and strategic vendor selection processes. You'll also be responsible for developing long-term strategic supplier direction, identifying opportunities for cost savings, and developing resource plans to maximize effect spend under management.

Our ideal candidate will have a minimum commercial apprenticeship, a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, and significant experience in procurement, logistics, or a related field. You should also have strong analytical, negotiation, and management skills, as well as business-level German and English language proficiency.
