We are a dynamic team of over 40 employees based in Düsseldorf, Germany, and we are looking for a skilled Senior Software Architect to join our team.

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Architect to lead the development of our software solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing modern backend applications using PHP/Symfony 4 and frontend applications using React JS and React Native.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement modern backend applications using PHP/Symfony 4
  • Develop modern frontend applications using React JS and React Native
  • Implement modern technologies such as Kubernetes and GraphQL
  • Conceive and implement new features for complex software solutions
  • Provide web applications and create unit tests
  • Participate in continuous improvement processes
Requirements
  • High adaptability to new technologies with the ability to understand trends and make long-term technical decisions
  • Excellent knowledge of design and development of complex enterprise backend systems, preferably based on
  • Excellent knowledge of ES 6 JavaScript and extensive knowledge of frameworks and libraries such as React, and/or Angular
  • Fundamental experience with relational and non-relational databases
  • Good knowledge of data structure design
  • Competence in the use and creation of web services based on ReST and especially GraphQL
  • Knowledge of performance optimization
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS is required
  • Experience with agile development in a team
  • Practical experience with automated software testing
  • Structured and solution-oriented working style for sustainable and scalable web systems
  • Good English skills
  • Fluent in English
Nice to have
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker etc.
  • Experience with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, OpenShift or Docker Swarm
  • Knowledge of the development and adaptation of software as twelve-factor applications
  • Knowledge of continuous integration through tools such as Jenkins
