Your Role
We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our Commercial Analysis & Market Intelligence team in Düsseldorf. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for financial modelling and valuation, and participate in evaluating various project development, investment, and asset rotation opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, build, and maintain financial models, valuation tools, and methods for renewable energy projects, mainly industrial-scale solar, wind, and batteries.
- Evaluate and assess potential investment opportunities and partnerships, participate in due diligence processes, and prepare valuation reports.
- Analyse the financial performance, cash flows, returns, and risks of projects, and prepare and present investment recommendations and reports to senior management in close collaboration with project development teams.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, developers, and other stakeholders to support the origination, development, and execution of renewable energy projects.
- Monitor and assess the performance and risk of the existing pipeline and provide insights and recommendations.
Requirements
- University degree in Finance, Engineering, Economics, or a comparable field.
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in investment analysis, corporate finance, or controlling.
- Strong financial modelling skills and experience of building and maintaining DCF models.
- Excellent skills in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate results with internal and external stakeholders and create comprehensive management presentations.
- Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and markets.
- Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent English, additional languages as a bonus.
