About the Role
We are seeking a Medical Specialist: Occupational Medicine to join our team at Dow OLEFINVERBUND GmbH in Schkopau. This is a part-time position with occasional assignments in the surrounding areas, such as Leuna and Böhlen. As a Medical Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our employees, conducting medical examinations, and providing medical advice.
Responsibilities
- Conduct medical examinations and assessments in accordance with §3 AsiG, with a focus on occupational medicine.
- Provide medical advice on travel medicine and conduct vaccinations.
- Manage our two on-site medical ambulances, organize first aid, and provide follow-up care.
- Treat medical emergencies and facilitate the reintegration of employees after severe illnesses or accidents.
- Analyze the impact of work-related stress on employee health, evaluate risks at various workstations, and provide preventive advice to minimize risks.
- Support health promotion, occupational safety, and risk assessment training, as well as the development of emergency response and pandemic plans.
Requirements
- You hold a medical degree with a specialization in occupational medicine or a related field.
- You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- You have a strong understanding of occupational health and safety regulations, as well as experience in the chemical industry.
- You are proficient in English and have a valid driver's license (Class B).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in occupational medicine in an industrial setting, preferably in the chemical industry.
- Additional qualifications in travel medicine, radiation protection, or other related fields are an asset.
- Proficiency in English or the willingness to develop your language skills.
