Our hydrogen-powered aircraft are designed to operate at the edge of space, achieving speeds that are significantly faster than traditional aviation methods. We aim to redefine speed and efficiency in delivering goods globally.

We are in search of a talented and driven UAV Quality Engineer to enhance our vibrant team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in guaranteeing that our UAVs are manufactured to the highest standards, complying with both regulatory requirements and customer satisfaction. This position demands a solid foundation in aeronautical and mechanical engineering, along with a deep understanding of quality assurance principles to ensure the effective production of superior UAVs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish, execute, and uphold quality assurance and control frameworks.
  • Supervise the examination and testing of UAV parts and completed products.
  • Enforce stringent testing protocols to verify manufacturing processes align with specifications and operational guidelines for UAVs.
  • Analyze quality concerns and defects in UAV products. Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive measures (CAPA).
  • Identify and track key performance indicators (KPIs) associated with quality. Evaluate quality data to monitor performance and detect trends.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of quality assurance activities and inspection outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost product quality and production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components.
  • Engage closely with design, engineering, procurement, and production teams to integrate quality at every phase of product development.
  • Conduct regular audits of UAV products and manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and industry certifications relevant to UAV production.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • Work location is Munich (Bavaria), Germany.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Security clearance may be necessary based on project specifics.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, quality engineering, or a related discipline; advanced degrees are preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience (4-8 years) in UAV quality manufacturing or related components, with a comprehensive understanding of production, maintenance, and ERP systems.
  • Expertise in quality management tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with health & safety regulations, environmental standards, compliance requirements, and ethical considerations related to aerial military vehicles.
  • English will be the primary working language; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
