**Your Role:**

As a Senior Expert Foreign Trade, you will be responsible for the strategic and conceptual development, implementation, and further development of global export control and monitoring processes from an end-to-end perspective for the assigned Business Units of ZEISS.

In this role, you will act as a central interface to internal ZEISS functions as well as to export control and customs authorities. Ensuring compliance with legal requirements, you will aim to manage business opportunities, risks, and financial potential arising from national and international legislation (including sanctions and economic measures) to steer the company's success.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement global export control and monitoring processes to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Lead innovative projects from an export control and customs law perspective to contribute to the success of ZEISS.
  • Collaborate with internal ZEISS functions and external authorities to ensure seamless communication and compliance.
  • Manage and mitigate risks associated with export control and customs regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with export control and customs authorities.
  • Provide expert advice on export control and customs law to internal stakeholders.

**Requirements:**

  • Master's degree in Law, Customs Law, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in a global business environment, preferably in a senior role or as a consultant with expertise in export control and customs law.
  • Excellent knowledge of legislative and regulatory frameworks, including export control and customs regulations.
  • Proven project management skills, with experience in leading complex projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external authorities.
  • Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
