Electrical Technician for Test Operations Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our team at Alpha Engineering KG. As an Electrical Technician for Test Operations, you will play a crucial role in supporting the design, assembly, and commissioning of switchgear for mechanical and low voltage test rigs up to 1 kV (AC & DC). Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the regulatory requirements for the design of switchgear are met.

Your Responsibilities
  • You will contribute your knowledge and expertise to ensure the design of switchgear meets regulatory requirements.
  • You will select electrical parts and components, support procurement, and prepare technical documentation.
  • You will assemble electrical equipment, integrate switchgear into test benches, and assist with instrumentation, commissioning, and maintenance.
Requirements
  • Master craftsman or technician qualification as electronics technician for industrial, operational, or automation technology, or a comparable education, or a degree in electrical engineering with at least 3 years of present experience in this field.
  • Knowledge and experience in the practical application of the Low Voltage Directive, the Machinery Directive, and the corresponding electrical standards such as DIN EN 50191, DIN EN, DIN EN 61439.
  • Experience in sensor application and use (e.g. strain gauges, acceleration sensors, thermocouples, etc.) is a plus.
  • Good written and spoken English skills are required, German skills are an advantage.
  • A drivers license class B (car) is required.
