IT Administrator for Database and Container Systems

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Administrator to join our team at Dataport AöR. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of our database and container systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain database systems, including PostgreSQL and Oracle
  • Participate in container-based projects and contribute to the development of our container infrastructure
  • Develop and implement new technologies and tools to improve our database and container systems
  • Support the operation of middleware applications on Linux servers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of new systems
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in database administration and Linux system administration
  • Strong knowledge of database management systems, including Oracle and PostgreSQL
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
