Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned professional to assume the role of Head of Digital Project Engineering within our esteemed Digital Engineering Leadership team. As the primary provider of digital infrastructure and solutions within the Business Unit Offshore Wind, you will oversee the whole value chain, from bid acquisition to asset construction and operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Digital Project Engineering Team: As the Head of Digital Project Engineering, you will lead our Digital Engineering department, a one-stop-shop for all digital solutions, infrastructure, and data needs. Your primary responsibility is to act as the customer demand aggregator, prioritizing workload and tasks while assessing value and cost optimization opportunities based on business value within the portfolio.
  • Project Delivery: Deliver through other teams by assembling delivery via building blocks, products, and services. Oversee several project managers within the department who handle lifecycle and maintenance project deliveries, requiring planning and coordination with our sites for service windows.
  • Portfolio Management: Ensure portfolio officers create portfolio overviews, prioritize, and utilize our capacity effectively. Drive SLA work with customers and suppliers to ensure commitments are met.
  • Strategic Management: Act as the customer demand aggregator, prioritizing workload and tasks while assessing value and cost optimization opportunities. Drive the maturation of the portfolio order book and processes for reliable resource planning, forecasting, and optimal utilization.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure standard building blocks, products, and services are delivered according to business needs. Ensure transparency, report development, and manage budget responsibilities.
  • Solution Architecture: Collaborate with the solution architect to ensure delivery of solid solutions according to governance, compliance, and our digital roadmap.
  • Lifecycle Management: Oversee lifecycle and maintenance project deliveries, requiring planning and coordination with our sites for service windows.
  • Governance and Compliance: Ensure solutions adhere to governance and compliance standards, supporting our digital roadmap.
  • Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within Vattenfall IT and other BAs.

Requirements

  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leading digital engineering teams and managing intricate digital portfolios.
  • Commercial Mindset: Ability to balance workloads and tasks while evaluating value and cost optimization opportunities.
  • Strategic Insight: Strategic acumen and leadership competencies to drive synergies, maximize return on investments, and cultivate a commercial mindset.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to articulate project goals, progress, and changes effectively in a large and detailed organization.
  • Education: Engineering university degree (BSc or MSc) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, including experience in leadership.
  • Language Skills: Command of English in both verbal and written form.
