Carbon Project Specialist

FORLIANCE is a pioneering company that initiates, finances, and manages nature-based climate projects, integrating them into sustainability strategies for clients to achieve their Net Zero Carbon targets.

We collaborate with global partners and a diverse team of 55+ members across ten countries to create intact forests and ecosystems that positively impact our climate, biodiversity, and human well-being.

Your role

  • Sourcing and assessing Natural Carbon Projects, including financial due diligence.
  • Developing project design documents, implementing projects, and supporting carbon certification cycles.
  • Managing our existing project portfolio to meet client demand in quality and quantity.
  • Gathering intelligence on market trends, relevant regulations, and policies.

Your profile

  • University degree in economics, resource management, forestry, agriculture, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in sustainable land use and carbon markets.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple projects in an international team.
  • Experience in preparing business and financial plans for natural carbon projects or similar.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish or French, with additional languages an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Professional experience in Latin America, Africa, or South-East Asia is an advantage.

The position is full-time, with the contract structured as a freelance or permanent position depending on the circumstances. Workplace in the European Union is preferred, with Latin America possible.
